As environmental issues is receiving much attention internationally and also on the rise is the need to take preemptive measures with the changed structure of the global business, the meaning and role of design is increasingly highlighted. Against this backdrop, DESIGN KOREA 2009 has put the ‘World Best Design Exchange in 2009’ event more in line with the changing context and demands of the global business. Bringing together 24 design organizations from 19 countries at the vanguard of the design industry, world’s leading design-oriented companies, design firms and other individuals involved in the design industry, it will serve as a design business platform aiming at sharing up-to-date design trends and searching for cooperative ways for economic growth.
